We are a cash based wellness practice. Our priority is cultivating a relationship with you and your family and providing the best possible care for your unique health goals. When chiropractors are contracted with an insurance company, insurance will dictate what care you receive and how often you can come in. We would rather make those decisions in collaboration with you.
In addition, billing insurance takes time out of our schedule that we would rather spend with you! Because we don't have a team of people working for us doing our billing, we are able to keep our cash rates low. Many of our practice members report that our fees are less than what their copay would be!
We do happily accept HSA/FSA payments and depending on what insurance you have, we can provide superbills for you to submit for reimbursement.
Everybody is different, and every body is different. When recommending a frequency of care, we take the whole YOU into consideration. Are you in the midst of a major transition in your life? What is your stress level? Are you about to -or did you recently- birth a human? Do you have specific goals for your care? All of this information and more contribute to our recommendations.
During the first few months of care, many of our practice members choose to come in weekly. We typically see that with increased frequency of care comes increased speed of healing. When they graduate to wellness or maintenance care, the frequency typically decreases, but it doesn't have to! Ask any chiropractor and they will likely tell you that they get adjusted weekly for maintenance and because they see and understand the benefits of a nervous system that is clear of interference.
Pain is an important signal that our body gives us. It is our nervous system telling us that something is under stress, that tension is high, that something needs a little bit more care and attention. It is a caution sign, a warning light. However, chiropractic care, at its core, is not about pain.
Chiropractic is founded on vitalistic principles that celebrate your body's natural inborn intelligence. This type of care does not treat pain nor does it treat the symptoms of any disease; rather, it affects your whole being by restoring communication between the nervous system and the body. Certainly, more often than not, people report decreased pain when their nervous system is in effective communication with their body after adjustments (and we would rather you come to us before looking at drugs or surgery), but they also report decreased stress, increased creativity, and heightened body awareness. We welcome you to book an appointment regardless of your level of pain.
The preconception period is a critical time that is oftentimes overlooked in the fertility world, and getting adjusted can be the missing piece in many couples' fertility journey. Chiropractic care can help reduce stress and tension in the body, including the pelvic region. Lower stress levels can positively impact hormone balance, which is essential for conception. Further, misalignments in the spine can affect nerve function, including nerves that control reproductive organs. By correcting these misalignments, chiropractic adjustments may improve nerve function, potentially enhancing fertility.
At Alpine Chiropractic, we advocate for holistic nervous system based care throughout your life and especially before, during, and after major life transitions, including the decision to bring a child into the world. We find that allowing three to four months prior to conception for nervous system based chiropractic and supplemental care results in the best outcomes in conception. However, we invite you to come in for a consultation and/or first adjustment as soon as you feel curious about care.
With the mindset that chiropractic care is about treating pain, it would be difficult to see why children would benefit from chiropractic care. However, when you consider that chiropractic care is for removing interference from the nervous system, it is easy to see that children can (and do) benefit from chiropractic adjustments.
Nervous system interference is associated with symptoms such as ADD/ADHD, anxiety and mood disorders, ear infections, bed wetting, toe walking, trouble sleeping, digestive problems, chronic constipation, speech delays, problems with hearing and vision, respiratory and immune challenges, trouble meeting milestones, torticollis, colic, and more. The list of potential benefits of chiropractic care for children is long. Pediatric chiropractic care is gentle and specific to your child's spine and sets the foundation for the rest of our lives physically, chemically, and emotionally.
The Webster technique is a specific method of chiropractic analysis and adjusting of the pelvis. Webster certification is offered through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. Webster certified chiropractors are trained in assessing the entire pelvis in order to reduce nervous system stress, correct imbalances of the bones, muscles, and ligaments, and optimize pelvic function in pregnancy and birth.
Chiropractic care during pregnancy can lead to reduced stress on the nervous system, improvement of pelvic biomechanics, increased body awareness, and better outcomes for both mom and baby. At Alpine Chiropractic, we are committed to providing high quality pre-conception, prenatal, postnatal, and pediatric chiropractic care.
We are open by appointment only, but we are happy to accommodate last minute appointment requests when possible! Texting is the best way to reach us for same day appointments.
